eNES plays the console game files you already own. No games are included — you bring your own files.
What it does
NES and SNES
Import the .nes, .sfc and .smc files you own from the Files app. SNES support is newer and still being refined, so a few games may show minor glitches.
Save states
A manual save whenever you want, plus automatic saves in the background. One manual slot per game for free, unlimited with Pro.
Cheat codes
Type the letter codes for NES games or the 8-character codes for SNES. One active cheat at a time for free.
Rewind and speed
Step back about 10 seconds, fast-forward up to 4× or slow down to 0.25×. With Pro, or for one session after a video ad.
Two controllers
Connect up to two MFi or Bluetooth controllers, one for each player.
On the TV with AirPlay
The game goes to the big screen while your iPhone or iPad keeps the touch controls.
Apple Watch
NES games on your wrist, synced from your iPhone. No sound and no SNES on the Watch. Play NES games on Apple Watch: installation and transfer

What's new in 2.10.0
What's new in 2.10: • Crash fixes — games using certain cartridge chips, and badly dumped or patched ROMs, could close eNES in the middle of a session. Those crashes are gone. • eNES now has a Discord server: get help, share screenshots, test new builds early and vote on what comes next. The link is in Settings. • Ads no longer stop the music or podcast you had playing in the background. • More of the app itself is now translated, Brazilian Portuguese included.
