eDuo

Both screens, in your pocket.

eDuo plays the console game files you already own, on iPhone and iPad: both screens, the real touch screen and the microphone. No games are included — you bring your own files.

Coming to the App Store · iOS 17 or later

Unfold it and play

On a folding iPhone, eDuo follows the hinge: half-open, the game sits above the crease and the touch panel below it, with the controls under your thumbs. Close it and the game keeps going on the outer display.

Filmed with free homebrew games: JamClown by Lorenzo Langlois and AirdomeDS by omerkot (MIT licence).

Made for two screens, not adapted to them

Two screens, a stylus and a microphone. An emulator that ignores any of them is only emulating half the console.

Dual-screen layouts

Stack both screens, place them side by side, or focus on just one. Switch at any time, and eDuo remembers your choice per game.

A real touch screen

Tap and drag on the bottom screen like a stylus. Menus, minigames and drawing work the way they did on the console.

The microphone listens

Blow into the mic in the games that ask for it. Audio is processed on your device and never leaves it.

No BIOS files needed

Import a game and play. An open-source replacement is built in, so there is nothing else to find or add.

Save states and auto-save

Manual slots plus an automatic save while you play and whenever you leave a game. Slot 1 is free; Pro adds three more.

Controllers and keyboards

Connect any MFi or Bluetooth gamepad and the buttons map themselves. Physical keyboards work too.

Yours to arrange

Move, resize and hide every on-screen control, pick your own colours, and set a background photo.

In your language

Translated into ten languages, not just the menus.

No strings

No ads

Not a banner, not an interstitial, not a "watch this to continue". None.

No tracking

No analytics, no advertising SDKs, no accounts. Nothing about you is collected or sent anywhere.

Your files stay yours

Games and saves live on your device and in your own backups. There is no server for them to go to.

Pro is optional

A subscription or a one-time unlock adds save slots 2–4, the scanlines filter and custom backgrounds. Everything else is free.
